Accenture Acquires in PLM Services with A PTC Specialist
Accenture made a rare acquisition in PLM services for its Industry X.0 unit. The company is to acquire a Torino-headquartered PTC partner, PLM Systems. PLM Systems is a small firm and has 30 consultants.
As far as we can remember, Accenture had not acquired PLM service capabilities for years, with Industry X.0 having focused on:
- Embedded systems
- Product design and styling
- Digital manufacturing and MES.
Accenture Industry X.0 is taking a different step with PLM services. Of course, PTC, unlike Dassault Systemes, has focused on Industrial IoT and AR/VR and is bringing digital manufacturing skills.
