The Owner of Belcan Acquires Another US Staffing Firm, BHI Energy
Almost one month the acquisition of CDI Corp, AE Industrial Partners (AEI) has acquired another staffing firm, BHI Energy. BHI services the energy sector in the U.S., focusing on power generation, energy, and government. The company has a background in the nuclear power generation, and is growing in renewables, transmission, and distribution, and oil & gas. It is headquartered in Weymouth, MA and employs 8.5k FTEs in 130 locations.
AI Industrial Partners did not mention CDI Corp or Belcan. Nor did it mention intention to combine those three firms. Yet, we would be surprised if it was not AEI’s intention: the three firms combined would have scale, with an estimated ~25k employees, almost all located in the U.S.
The acquisition was done through AE Industrial Partners Fund I, which has $680m in funding.
